This is a medium deep plate (about 9.25 inches wide and 1 inch deep) with a hand painted sage brush and paintbrush motif on the inside covered in a clear glaze, as well as interior glossy white speckled glaze surrounding it. The exterior is a spotted purple “aster” glaze. It is a speckled stoneware clay.

This plate is the first installment in my “plates against hate” series. The idea is I make a one-of-a-kind art plate, you buy it and get to have a really cool functional piece of art, and I donate 100% of the profits to a pre-determined cause that is important to me! This cause is important to me for a number of reasons! I believe strongly in reproductive autonomy/sovereignty for all, but I think it is especially important to uplift those who have historically been marginalized and left out of the conversation.
